After our visit to Kamen Vineyards, we had no time to change for the next stop, which was Olive & Vine Restaurant in the little town of Glen Ellen, California. We've eaten there many times, but never with Dan and Linda, our friends from North Carolina. Linda is a food blogger and will be writing about her visit to this restaurant from her perspective.
This restaurant is owned and operated by John Burdick and his wife, Chef Catherine. Click on her name to read more of the hallmark restaurant.
I wanted to share the wine we had that evening (after drinking all day)! For appetizers we had a 2011 Graef Viognier ($24) from Solano County in Napa Valley. It has a beautiful bouquet of stone fruit, big floral notes, and a crisp, clean and dry finish.
For our main courses, we had a 2007 Loma Del Sol Sonoma Mountain Red ($48) right from Glen Ellen. This very nice red wine is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec, 13% Merlot and 5% Syrah.
Thank you John and Catherine for a delicious dining experience as always. It never disappoints!
