B Cellars-The Tour of a Boutique Napa Valley Winery! #bcellarswinery #bcellarskitchen

Our great adventure in Napa Valley was coming to a close. This was the day I head home to Texas and leave the great state of California that I love so much! Linda, the Orange Bee blogger and me, the Wine Wrangling Woman blogger, had visited three unique and wonderful Napa Valley wineries on Monday and had one left to visit on Tuesday morning.
We checked out of the Silverado Resort and Spa and drove to Oakville, CA. This was another winery neither of us had ever been to or heard of, so needless to say, we were excited.

This was the first thing we saw as we rounded the bend to enter the property. She reminded me of my mom who loves to shop at Talbots! Notice the vintage bag in her right hand.

Then we saw this lady after we got out of the car. Linda went right to it and posed as any model would do! As it turns out, there are more of these cool art pieces including a gardener and a guy stretched out on the croquet lawn.

We walked up to the hospitality house where we were greeted by the concierge team in an outdoor registration booth. We gave them our business cards and sat down to wait for our tour and tasting.

We were given fruit-infused water to drink while waiting. One begins to sense the incredible feeling of welcoming hospitality that awaits us inside the glass doors.

Our tour guide/wine tasting hostess gathered us and another couple, took us inside the hospitality house where we were given our first taste of B Cellars fabulous wine.

An amuse-bouche made of everything grown in the garden outside.
Salmon tartare, garden strawberries, lemon cucumber, and pickled peppers!

2013 B Cellars Blend 23 ($39) This wine is a blend of barrel fermented Chardonnay, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, and a touch of Viognier to add those bubbles on the sides of our glass. I cannot wait to open my bottle of Blend 23. It was so refreshing!

How cool is this! I've been to one other tasting that had our names on the tasting menu. I call that a very special customer touch. All visitors are special here at B Cellars!

Everyone that goes to B Cellars is given a tour of the facilities, gardens, and caves. It's a tour like no other. We placed our belongings at our table and went out the beautiful front doors to begin the tour.

Outside the building to the right was a shady porch for more wine tastings!

The herb gardens are strategically placed in back of the chef's kitchen.

A beautiful place to taste wine and picnic while gazing out to the vineyards.

The chef's garden where we saw pumpkins,

watermelons,

and tasted fresh strawberries! We saw the chicken coops,

and the beehives under the trees way up the hill.

Next we headed to the caves where all the barrels of wine are stored.

Brand new empty barrels that just arrived!

Our hostess took us all through the caves.

Some barrels are stored on wooden blocks.

Some are stored on this unique X'x and O's racking system. She turned the barrel below so we could see what happens inside.

Sauvignon Blanc is stored in this big red egg! Everything else is stored in French oak barrels.

This is the wine cave grand salon!

These pics are from the internet! My tiny camera didn't have a big enough flash! The pic below shows how large these caves are for weddings, and wine events. There are many tasting rooms inside the caves also.

Speaking of tasting, we were privileged to taste a 2014 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon ($85) right out of the barrel. Only 125 cases of this wine was produced. It's release date is May 15, 2017!

We headed back to the hospitality house to begin our amazing food and wine pairing!

Part 2 will be coming soon! Stay tuned!
