C. Donatiello Tasting Room
Healdsburg, CA

Wow! What a surprise to walk around the corner of Plaza and Center Streets and see this sign! We had been here in March of 2011 and walked into a totally different tasting room then. But it was a nice surprise though! This tasting room had only been open since the end of May and after doing some research back in Texas, I read that the actual winery is the former Belvedere Winery in Healdsburg. This article will explain it all! And on Facebook, there are tons of pics of the renovation and revitalization of the estate. It looks like a winery I want to visit in the fall when we are there.

At this tasting room, you can do wine tastings in flights, glasses or by the bottle. We chose to do the flight of whites and reds. I love the logo on the bottle, but you have to look at the back to see what you are actually drinking. No paper labels though! :(

Our flights before us! Now we just have to decide which ones to buy by the bottle.

The beautiful C's made into a D! Could be my hubby's logo. (DC only backwards!)

Some of the wines we tasted were a 2009 Maddie's Vineyard Chardonnay ($32). It has a cinnamon apple nose, with a rich creamy mouth of lemon and Asian pear. We bought this! Yum!
We also bought the 2011 "Block 15" Pinot Noir ($48). It is an excellent Pinot Noir.

Chris came over and talked with us quite a while. He's a very friendly guy and that's important in his business. It's all about relationships and the story about your wine. Good job Chris!

Enjoy his wines soon!
