Daou's quest is to create the best Cabernet Sauvignon that rivals the very best in the world. For some reason, I didn't make it back with a Cab, but will order one. (or 6).
Here's what I did purchase!
2011 Viognier ($38) For some reason, it says on the website that it is only for club members, but I got one! Oranges, honey and vanilla come to mind when you open and taste the wine.
2011 Reserve Zinfandel ($56) 100 percent Zinfandel grapes-It's an amazing wine from the nose to the mouth with hints of vanilla, red and black fruits, strawberries, raspberries, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
That's the end of the Paso Robles journey in 3 1/2 hours 5 wineries later. Here we are stopping for gas and restroom!
Yes, she's holding me up! James Dean wouldn't help!
